The Insulated: What the Top Already Has That You Don't

When pressure builds in any system, it doesn't hit everyone the same way. At the top, there's insulation, and it comes in layers: Money: diversified, protected, and positioned to weather volatility. Legal protection: professionals on call who know how to navigate any disruption. Networks: relationships that open doors and return phone calls. Contingency plans: real ones, written down, sometimes with a place to go. None of that is secret, and none of it is necessarily wrong. It's what people with resources and good information do when they read the signals. But think about what it means. "The people with the best view of what's coming are quietly getting ready." If those with the most information are preparing, the pressure is real. And if most working families have none of those layers, then most of us are standing in the open.
