I Used to Track My Hours Like They Were Currency

I used to track my hours like they were currency. If I was busy, I thought I was building something. If I was tired, I thought that meant I had earned progress. If my calendar was full and my body was running on fumes, I told myself that was discipline. But hours are not the same as results. You can spend ten hours spinning in place and call it commitment. You can give your whole day to a system that measures your presence but never rewards your growth. You can be exhausted and still not be closer to freedom. That was a hard realization for me. Because effort feels noble. Showing up matters. Work ethic matters. But input alone does not compound. Output does. The thing you build. The skill you sharpen. The audience you grow.
